Angela Mazzega

I´m very curious to uncover Angela´s history.

I always thought of my family´s history as being Giacomo´s history of imigration, but it seems now more likely that Angela came to Brazil with her children. I have full proof that she came to Rio as I found several Brazilian records of her.

Look at the events:

1886 - Boubiers France - Angela Mazega (25) and Carlo Barzan (36) are in Boubiers with Emile (3), Maria Florina (1), Jean Victor (30 days but he died as a child), and this cousin Angele Anielotti that is new to me. Giacomo (1881) doesnt apper at this record but he was only 5 at that time.

1888- Boubiers France - Carlo Barzan (39) dies.

1910- Rio de Janeiro Brazil - Marriage Record of Elisa Murtinho (22), daughter of Angela Mazega de Marco and Antonio Murtinho.

1910 (same book page) - Rio de Janeiro Brazil - Marriage Record of "Jose Augusto" Barzan (23), son of Angela Mazega e Carlo Barzan, e Maria Francisca.

So Elisa was born arround 1888 and Angela Mazega should be already in Brazil at that time. That´s a bit odd since Carlo Barzan her first husband died in France the same year.

This "Jose Augusto" Barzan is likely Joseph Barzan (1887) as for his age and first name.

Angela is also found as Antonio Murtinho´s other children´s mother in brazilian records and often with the surname "Marzega de Marco".
